Warehouse Operator

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving Goods
▪ Receives goods and signs waybills
▪ Unloads goods (pallets, packages, etc.) and scans them
▪ Checks the received goods for accuracy (quantity, damage, …) based on data in the system and in accordance with existing procedures
▪ collects evidence in case of problems and reports them to the Warehouse Coordinator, Procurement Officer, or Quality Manager
▪ places the goods in their designated location in the warehouse using a forklift, reach truck, or manually

Shipping of goods
▪ receives orders via the scanning system and picks the required goods
▪ packs the goods together, taking into account optimal use of
packaging and cargo space, as well as customer preferences
▪ enters data into the carrier’s system, applies the necessary labels to the
packaging, and prints shipping lists for the carrier
▪ places packages in the correct location for pickup

Support for the department
▪ maintains the necessary internal documentation regarding their own work
▪ performs spot checks and inventory counts
▪ ensures that their own workspace is orderly and tidy
▪ supports the Warehouse Coordinator in their duties
▪ identifies potential problems and makes suggestions to the Warehouse Coordinator
▪ supports other departments in logistics and facilities activities
▪ supports logistics data (e.g., updating barcodes, updating weights, etc.)
▪ Facilities duties when the Facilities Technician is unavailable or absent
▪ External inventory counts
▪ Transfer orders

Quality awareness
Given the activities of Hospidex-Innomediq, the Warehouse Operator must be permanently aware of the company’s focus on quality when performing day-to-day warehouse tasks: receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.

COMMUNICATION & CONSULTATION

Internal Contacts
▪ Maintains daily contact with colleagues and the supervisor regarding ongoing
Responsibilities
▪ Maintains weekly contact with various internal departments (Procurement, Customer Service,
Quality Manager, etc.) regarding purchasing and transportation

External Contacts
▪ Has daily contact with carriers or customers during delivery or pickup
Languages
▪ Dutch with knowledge of French and English (spoken)
