Because pressure ulcer prevention should never be interrupted, the Repose cushion when sitting up is indispensable for any high-risk patient already lying on pressure-spreading material in bed. The two outer air cells are wider and protect the trochanters. They also contribute to stability and sitting comfort. The stretchable and skin-friendly PU film of the cover very much neutralizes the horizontal shearing forces that can occur on the
skin and the underlying tissue, when the patient slips down in the sitting position.

The combination of a 6X stretch PU film with air give ideal pressure redistribution by sinking and encompassing the entire seat surface. This gives the lowest possible pressure and maximum comfort while sitting. Optionally, the stretchable Inside cover made of breathable polyester-coated polyurethane, with zipper, can be used as additional protection
of the Repose seat cushion. This provides additional security in cases of incontinence or confused patients.
