Repose

The Repose Flex is designed to float the heels but also provides knee support in a slight flexion of 5°-10°. This makes the pad compliant with EPUAP/NPUAP/PPPIA guidelines. By slightly flexing the knee, the risk of compression of the vena poplitea
in the hollow of the knee is reduced and blood reflux from the lower leg is not impeded. The different cell heights of the Repose Flex follow the anatomical shape of the calf. This better distributes the pressure on the calf muscle and blood vessels and reduces the risk of developing
a deep vein thrombosis. (DVT)

The Repose Flex can be used for prevention and for pre-existing heel pressure ulcers. Completely freeing the heels takes all pressure off the heels and guarantees optimal blood flow in the wound for faster healing. The Repose Flex is positioned at the foot end of the bed and can be attached to the mattress with the polyurethane attachment ribbon. The 3 length sizes allow the caregiver to choose the appropriate product for each patient.
